Device Inventory Management now Available (New Panel Version)
We are upping our game to satisfy our users' needs: We have now added Device Inventory Management for our Enterprise users! You will now be able to see additional, valuable information regarding your devices in one single place, in your device list view.
How to Use Device Inventory Management
When you open your device list view in your Control Panel, you will see detailed information about each one of your devices. You'll get the device status, whether they are online or offline, and general device information like their operating system version, the wireless network they are connected to, and the remaining battery percentage.
One of our Inventory Management options is the User Contact Assignment. With this, you'll see to whom each device has been assigned with a user identifier of your choice. You can review detailed information on how to assign devices to users in this article.
In the image below, you can see that this device was assigned to Rafael and also how there is an email address associated to this user.
If you wish to edit the contact assignment, simply click on the assignee's ID and you'll get to edit all the details.
There's also a “Loaned” tag. While this one is created automatically, you can create and add custom tags to your devices, and filter them to easily manage your fleet. We have also added a “Last time online” column with sorting capabilities where you will see the exact date and time your devices were checking in. This list can be sorted by date, from newest to oldest device and vice versa.
You will find quick access to the reports generated by the device, plus the current logged in Prey user and the version of the Prey client the device is running.
